Basic Knowledge Of Stamping Die Terminology
Let the Electrical Terminals Stamping Die Supplier show you the basic knowledge of stamping die terminology!
1. Continuous drawing
Continuous drawing is a stamping method in which a strip (rolling material) is gradually formed into a desired shape and size by multiple drawing with the same pair of molds (continuous drawing die).
2. Thinning and deep drawing
Thinning and drawing is a drawing process in which the hollow process member is further changed in shape and size, and the side wall is intentionally thinned.
3. Reverse drawing
The reverse drawing is a drawing process in which the inner wall of the hollow process member is everted.
4. Poor temperature deep drawing
Differential temperature drawing is a deep drawing process in which the temperature of the material to be deformed is much higher than the temperature of the material of the deformed portion by heating and cooling means, thereby increasing the degree of deformation.
5. Hydraulic drawing
Hydraulic drawing is a drawing process that uses a liquid contained in a rigid or flexible container instead of a punch or a die to form a hollow member.
6. Ribs
The rib is a kind of undulating shape. When the local undulations appear in the form of ribs, the corresponding undulating forming process is called embossing.
